CLOVERLAND, WI (WSAU-WAOW) Two people have been killed after a snowmobile crash on Thursday in Vilas County.
The Sheriff’s Department reports both victims, a 78-year-old and a 43-year-old, were driving a snowmobile and were pronounced dead at the scene. Names are being withheld until family can be notified.
This comes just days after a fatal snowmobile crash in Arbor Vitae.
These deaths mark the 8th and 9th related to snowmobiling so far in 2023.
The crash remains under investigation.
