PLUM LAKE, WI (WSAU) – A snowmobile accident in Plum Lake has resulted in the death of a 55-year-old Illinois man.
The snowmobiler reportedly drove off the route and struck a tree on the shoreline on Monday, according to a press release. Police were called to the scene.
Emergency personnel attempted to save the man’s life but were unsuccessful; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the man has not been made public.
