WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – A Wausau man who was convicted of providing the drugs in two fatal overdoses had his sentencing delayed this week.
Defense lawyers for Roderick Schultz told the court that they wanted to present additional information in a pre-sentencing hearing.
Schultz was convicted of providing the heroin that killed his girlfriend and his son in March 2021.
A police report said that Schultz drove to Milwaukee to purchase the drugs.
Prosecutors say Schultz has a history of dealing drugs in the Wausau area, and may have been involved in three other overdose cases that date back to 2017.
He could get up to 40 years in prison.
His next court date is March 24.
