MADISON, Wis. — The Dairy Business Association, Wisconsin’s leading dairy advocacy group, today endorsed Justice Daniel Kelly for the State Supreme Court and Rep. Daniel Knodl for the 8th Senate District in the special elections this spring.
Justice Kelly’s past track record as a strict constitutionalist with a conservative philosophy aligns with many Wisconsin farms and businesses, securing the organization’s decision to endorse.
“This election is high stakes for farmers across the state,” DBA President-emeritus Amy Penterman said. “It’s important that decisions issued by our top court in Wisconsin uphold constitutional integrity while interpretation balances both environmental protection and business certainty. Justice Kelly provides the thoughtful constitutional interpretation farmers strive to achieve while running a business and being good stewards of the environment.”
Rep. Dan Knodl (R- Germantown) is seeking the Senate District 8 seat in the spring special election. Knodl currently serves as a member of the State Assembly representing district 24.
“The Dairy Business Association appreciates Rep. Knodl’s consistent track record of supporting a healthy environment for business growth in Wisconsin,” said Penterman. “He understands the importance of Wisconsin as America’s Dairyland.”
Both Kelly and Knodl will be on the ballot in the spring special election on Tuesday, April 4.
