TOWN OF CORNING, WI (WSAU) – There was a fatal ATV crash in Lincoln County on Friday night.
A news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department said its deputies, wardens from the DNR, and Merrill Fire and Rescue responded to an area on County Road M west of Tower Road in the Town of Corning. They found a 68-year-old Medford man fatally injured in the incident.
Deputies said the man was riding his four wheeler on his property when he struck a cable stretched across the driveway. It’s possible the crash happened a day earlier before his was discovered.
The Lincoln County coroner pronounced the victim, David William Shadrick, dead at the scene.
He was not wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation.
