WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau School District has completed an investigation into a complaint against East High School Band Director Rob Perkins.
According to a statement from Coordinator of Communications and Marketing Diana White, the complaint was received “a few weeks ago” and triggered an immediate investigation.
The results of the investigation did reveal opportunities to “better understand and improve the experiences our students and staff are having in our schools.”
Because of what was learned the district will be enlisting a consultant to help create a better environment for both students and staff – offering an opportunity for the Wausau School District to be better and do better.
White told WSAU News that the district would have no further comment on the issue and no further information will be disclosed. Additionally, they will not reveal the nature of the complaint. The statement from the district added that students and staff are always encouraged to share their concerns with a trusted adult.
