MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU-MetroSouce) The Brewers bounced back from a big game-one loss and snapped the Astros win streak after a 6-0 victory in Milwaukee.
Colin Rea got the win after surrendering just four hits over five-plus innings. It was Rea’s first win as a starter since 2016.
Owen Miller crushed a two-run homer while Joey Wiemer also went yard. Brian Anderson went two-for-four with two RBI as Milwaukee improved to 26-and-22. The Brew Crew are back in first in the NL Central.
Jeremy Pena had two of Houston’s five hits. The Astros went cold at the plate after scoring 12 runs in game one of the series.
The Astros’ eight game win streak was snapped with the loss as the team sits second in the AL West at 28-and-20.
The Brewers will try to win the series this afternoon. Adrian Houser gets the start opposite Brandon Bielak. Game coverage begins at 11:35am on WSAU
