Milwaukee Brewers
MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers losing streak was extended to six games on Wednesday after they fell to the Minnesota Twins 4-2.
The Brewers got off to a hot start when Brian Anderson and Luis Urias hit back-to-back second-inning home runs, putting the Brewers up 2-0 heading into the third inning.
Colin Rea struggled in the third as Carlos Correa tripled to center, which scored Julien and Solano. Shortly after that, Trevor Larnach doubled to center, scoring Correa.
Joey Gallo would then join the hit parade by singling to right, scoring Larnach, which stretched Minnesota’s lead to 4-2.
Rea would finish the game with only five innings pitched, four earned runs, four strikeouts, and three walks.
Milwaukee could not buy a hit throughout the rest of the game, as the only hit came from William Contreras in the top of the sixth inning.
The Brewers hope to end their losing streak on Friday night as they head back to Milwaukee to begin a three-game series with the NL Central-leading Pittsburgh Pirates. The pregame will begin at 6:40 on WSAU, and the first pitch will be at 7:10.
