WASHINGTON DC (WSAU) – A source close to the president’s son told The New York Post that Hunter Biden has resolved his child support lawsuit with a 32-year-old Arkansas woman he had a daughter with at a Washington, D.C., strip club.
Following Biden’s statements in court last week, Lunden Roberts, the mother of Biden’s 4-year-old daughter Navy, consented to have her child support payments reduced from $20,000, according to the Post. Roberts’ attorney Clint Lancaster stated the settlement’s terms are still being worked out. He declined to confirm a rumor that his client had consented to $5,000 monthly installments.
“The case is sealed, and these are financial terms that should never be disclosed,” Lancaster told the Post.
Lancaster says that Biden might have to appear in court once more on July 11 if details of the settlement were to be released. On May 1, the president’s 53-year-old son appeared before a court in Arkansas to request a reduction in the amount of child support he owes Roberts. He said that Roberts had already received $750,000 in child support after a court-ordered paternity test in 2019 established that he was indeed Navy’s father.
This follows a plea agreement with federal prosecutors in which he admitted to two tax violations and also acknowledged guilt regarding a weapons charge. Biden failed to pay almost $100,000 in taxes for both 2017 and 2018 and will enter a guilty plea to misdemeanor charges. He is not anticipated to spend any time in jail.
