MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Even after the draft ended the Milwaukee Bucks were not done adding players to their roster.
The Athletic reported late Thursday night that the Bucks had reached an Exhibit 10 deal with former Gonzaga star Drew Timme and a two-way deal with former San Jose State guard Omari Moore.
Timme was a three-time All-American and two-time WCC Player of the Year with the Bulldogs. His career peaked with a defeat to eventual March Madness winner UConn (and likely future Summer League teammate Andre Jackson Jr.) in the 2021 NCAA Championship Game and was also capped off with an Elite Eight loss to UConn again in 2023.
Despite Timme’s success at Gonzaga, the NBA has drastically altered the way big men play basketball. Teams now want guys who can shoot threes and do more on offense than just scoring in the paint, such as Brook Lopez.

Because of the way the NBA has changed, 3 of the best players in college basketball went unpicked in the 2023 NBA Draft. 😢

His Exhibit 10 contract does not include any NBA pay guarantees; but, if he stays with the Bucks through training camp, the contract could be changed to a two-way deal. Teams will now have the ability to carry three two-way contracts instead of the previous two due to the new CBA.
Timme joining the Bucks’ Summer League team in Vegas next month appears to be a lock for the time being. He will travel north with the club for training camp in September if things go well enough. If he does not, the Bucks are free to cut him at any time.
