MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, there is uncertainty regarding Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s playing in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
The knee surgery doesn’t seem to put Antetokounmpo’s 2023–24 NBA season in danger, but playing for his home country, Greece has always been a high priority for the Bucks superstar.
In Game 4 against the Miami Heat, the 28-year-old was able to recover from a lower back contusion. He missed the previous two games due to the injury, but he wasn’t hampered once he returned to the team. In his first game back, he finished with 26 points, and 13 assists as the Bucks went on to lose 119-114.
