Mequon, WI- The Woodchucks were struck with more bad luck as they faced Lakeshore yesterday, losing their third game in a row. The final score was 8-6.
The Woodchucks scored early on with 4 runs in the 1st, with a single by Drew Berkland. 3 other RBI singles were hit by Christian Mitchell, Colin Bruggemann, and Jake Baker.
Dwight Allen made his Woodchucks debut last night with a nice performance. He had a going 2/3 with a double, 2 walks, 2 runs, and a stolen base.
Things were looking promising for the Woodchucks as they went into the 8th inning but were not able to rally for the win. Lakeshore hit an RBI sac fly to cut the lead by one. Wausau allowed both the 8th and 9th runs to score. They were able to get 2 base runners in the 9th but were not able to score.
Eight errors occurred in last night’s game. It was the game with the most errors committed by the Woodchucks this season.
The Wausau Woodchucks return today at Kapco Park for the final time this season at 1:05 P.M.
