Milwaukee, WI (WSAU)- The Milwaukee Brewers walked away victorious in last night’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, earning them the win, 3-2.
The teams were all tied up in the 9th when Pinch-Runner Blake Perkins, advanced to third after a crazy pitch. He then went on to score on Sal Frelich’s RBI single to center.
Pittsburgh’s Jason Delay doubled off of Milwaukee’s Corbin Burns in the 5th, and Liover Perguero singled to center with 2 outs for the first hit against Burnes and stole 2nd. Alika Williams was walked, and Delay followed with a two-run double.
The Brewers ended up getting one back in the bottom half when Victor Cartatini and Brice Turang hit consecutive singles, after Billy Falter. Andre Jackson who was called up Friday from Triple-A, advanced the runners with a wild pitch when Cartini scored on Christian Yelich’s one-out RBI grounder.
It was Blake Perkins though, that hit the winning single in the 10th. The bases were loaded with 2 outs, and he singled earning the Milwaukee Brewers the win.
Milwaukee increased their lead in the NL Central to 1 1/2 games over Cincinnati.
