CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI (WSAU) — The first in a series of hearings for the teen accused of killing Lily Peters has wrapped in Chippewa Falls.
The boy, officially identified as CPB, appeared via video for Monday’s hearing. All three parties went over photographs that were presented as potential evidence but were rejected by the court. Other photos will remain sealed in an envelope until a decision on their inclusion is made by the court.
Some witness interviews were also conducted.
Proceedings began shortly after 9 AM and wrapped for the day at about 12:30 PM. Action will pick back up on Tuesday at 8:15 AM. According to court records, it remains undecided as to which court system will host the trial. Should the case be moved to the juvenile system, the boy’s name would remain under wraps. If the case remains in adult court, his name will be released.
Hearings will continue through Friday. Another round is scheduled for Monday, August 14th if needed.
