MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU-MetroSource) – The Brewers earned a two-game sweep of the Minnesota Twins with an 8-7 win in ten innings in Milwaukee.
The Brewers trailed by a run coming into the bottom of the tenth, but Willy Adames tied the game with an RBI single before scoring the game-winning run on Brice Turang’s infield hit.
Adames, William Contreras, and Tyrone Taylor all homered in the victory, and Elvis Peguero earned his fourth win in relief.
Milwaukee has a three-and-a-half game lead over the Cubs and Reds for first place in the NL Central.
Royce Lewis, Michael Taylor, and Kyle Former went deep for Minnesota. Jhoan Duran was charged with his sixth loss out of the bullpen.
The Brewers are off today, and play the Padres in Milwaukee on Friday night.
