WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — An Athens woman accused of stealing more than $45,000 from a small business in Ringle has entered a not guilty plea to the charges.
Lillianna Neumann was in court on Wednesday where she waived the reading of the charges and entered the plea. Investigators say she wrote the checks over a three-month period, made out to herself and another small business she was a part of.
Neumann was authorized to write checks for the business, but could not write them to herself or to her other businesses. She’ll return to court on November 27th.
If found guilty at trial she could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison and $25,000 in fines along with restitution.
