WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The Wausau City Council met on Tuesday to discuss revising a deal between T-Wall and the Wausau Opportunity Zone.
The council voted to move further action on the agreement until next month to give each side more time to come up with a more well-prepared product.
Wausau Development Director Liz Brodeck stated that she believes waiting a little longer was the right decision saying, “I think it’s the right decision to make…the T-Wall amendment was largely complete but it does reference exhibit A which is the WOZ agreement so they are pretty much married together and there isn’t really a way to separate them.”
When asked if she felt like a deal could be reached in October that would lead to progress on the project being made next year she stated, “I will always continue to remain optimistic about this.”
The council will revisit the topic on October 10th.
