MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) –The Milwaukee Bucks are adding a veteran guard in the aftermath of the Damian Lillard trade.
ESPN reports Cameron Payne has agreed to a one-year, veteran minimum deal to join Milwaukee. Payne was waived by the Spurs and served as a backup point guard for the Suns last season.
The 29-year-old started the final four games of the postseason for Phoenix after Chris Paul got hurt and put up 31 points in Game Six of the Western Conference semifinals against the Nuggets. He averaged 10.3 points and 4.5 assists per game last year.
