MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) –The Milwaukee Brewers’ season is over. The team fell to the Diamondbacks 5-2 from American Family Field as Arizona swept the Wild Card round.
Freddy Peralta got the loss after giving up four runs over five innings. Sal Frelick and Willy Adames each drove in runs during the first inning, but the D-Backs held Milwaukee scoreless over the final eight frames. It was a familiar feeling as Arizona managed to hold the Brew Crew scoreless over the last seven innings in Game One.
The Brewers bow out of the playoffs despite winning the NL Central with a 92-and-70 record.
