MINNEAPOLIS, MINN (MetroSource-WSAU) — Jorge Polanco’s slow infield roller plated the winning run in the bottom of the 12th inning as the Twins outlasted the Brewers 4-3 in Minnesota.
Twins starter Kenta Maeda took a no-hitter into the ninth inning only to see Milwaukee score three times to tie it and force extras.
Eric Sogard’s soft liner broke up the bid leading off the ninth. Jorge Alcala got the win, while David Phelps took the loss.
The two teams play again tonight. Pre-game show at 6:35 on WSAU.
