Professional sports can be strange. On paper two teams can look very different. One team can be the best team record wise and yet the other team can beat them handily. The Milwaukee Bucks and LA Lakers both found that out on Tuesday. The Orlando Magic dominated the Bucks from start to finish in taking game one of their playoff series. The Portland Trail Blazers who eked into the playoffs over the weekend stunned Lebron and the Lakers out west. The Laker loss is easier to understand. Portland was one of the hottest teams in the Orlando bubble and and had, arguably, the best player in the last few weeks in Damon Lilliard. The Bucks loss, once again, showed how a good team can stumble if they don’t do what got them there. Too many early three attempts, too few defensive closeouts, and a subpar game for Brook Lopez who had been averaging over 20 per game but finished with five. The Bucks are a better team than the Magic…but not on this day. Game 2 in Thursday.
Bucks broadcaster Ted Davis adds some perspective
FYI Last season game 1 Raptors-Magic 2-7 Match up. Final Magic 104 Toronto 101. Raptors are still polishing their Rings. Not diminishing today’s loss but trying to lend Historical context.
By the way…the “unwritten rule” about not swinging at a 3-0 pitch in a 7-0 game is unwritten for a reason…it’s stupid. I don’t care what the score is…tell me if you’re going to stop trying to score runs and we can call the game right there. We need the Fernando Tatis’s of the world to take mighty hacks on 3-0 pitches with the bases loaded. His own manager said he was wrong…geezus, make it stop.
I want to tell you about an old friend of mine who is now offering her incredible artwork for sale. Susan Trujillo (you might remember her as Sue Jensen when she grew up in Wausau back in the 60’s and 70’s) has a website where you can check out her work. It’s susantrujilloartlady.com. I think her stuff just jumps off the canvas and is very cool. Here is an example
A tough blow for Wisconsin Rapids native Vince Biegel….this report from Josh Tolentino
#Dolphins OLB Vince Biegel suffered a torn left achilles, sources tell @TheAthleticNFL. He’s expected to miss 2020 season, per source. An obvious blow to the defense. Biegel was one of best Miami storylines in 2019. He led Dolphins with 13 QB hits.

Gee…what a surprise…Trump lied to the Muller investigation.
Trump told Mueller in written answers that he recalled no conversations with Stone about WikiLeaks. SSCI: “The Committee assesses that Trump did, in fact, speak with Stone about WikiLeaks and with members of his Campaign about Stone’s access to WikiLeaks on multiple occasions.”
Hey, Trump voters…these folks are with you. How does that make you feel?

“Trump is flailing every single day. This latest political gambit w/pardoning Susan B. Anthony is just more of the same Trump chasing his own tail. It pathetic in it’s cynicism that believing such an irrelevant stunt would move the woman vote. MSM, ask him next week what she did.”Brant O

“Some details about the day of the Access Hollywood tape/Podesta emails release: Trump campaign team heard about the tape an hour before its release. Stone told Corsi to get Assange to “drop the Podesta emails immediately.” WikiLeaks did so 30 min after tape published. “-Natsaha Bertrand
