So, what should you expect when you walk into your local grocery store looking for holiday meal items?
Some experts say look for bargains in multiple different stores where prices can vary.
“What I would expect to see is lots of deals going on, lots of competitive prices going on at the retail and supermarket level to get these consumers in the door to buy those turkeys,” said Brad Rubin Sector Manager for Specialty Crop.
As for the other main meat to the family holiday, ham is doing the opposite, pig prices are flying high, rising up over five percent.
As for cranberries, the number one fruit crop in Wisconsin fresh, they are down almost twenty percent, but the same fruit in a can has soared to an over sixty percent increase from last year according to Wells Fargo.
