MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers parted ways with former two-time all-star pitcher Brandon Woodruff on Friday night.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Milwaukee Brewers spoke with multiple teams about trading for Woodruff but were not able to find a trade partner, leading to him being non-tendered, which will save the team $11 million in 2024.
The team announced in October that Woodruff will likely miss the first half of the 2024 season due to a shoulder injury. Woodruff was 46-26 with a 3.10 ERA and 788 strikeouts in 680 1/3 innings across parts of seven Major League seasons with the Brewers.
