GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers have placed rookie tight end Luke Musgrave (abdomen) and running back Emanual Wilson (shoulder) on IR.
Both players will now miss the next four games which include matchups against the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
When asked about how the loss of Musgrave will affect the offense head coach Matt LaFleur stated, “Obviously, a significant blow for us offensively. Like we always talk about, it’s going to be opportunities for these other guys, for Tucker (Kraft), for Ben (Sims), to really show what they can do.”
To add depth with Wilson being out, the Packers re-signed Patrick Taylor off of the Patriots practice squad and added veteran James Robinson to the active roster. In tomorrow’s game against the Lions, Taylor is expected to be A.J. Dillon’s primary backup.
