AUBURNDALE, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A serious crash closed a stretch of Highway 10 near Auburndale.
According to a traffic incident report the crash happened at around 1:35 PM near the Day Road intersection. Officials closed the eastbound lanes of the highway, detouring traffic to Hwy T North, East on Hwy H, South on Hwy M, East on Hwy P, and back on US 10.
WAOW TV reports that officials have called the incident a “critical crash,” though no further details have been released. That includes the number of vehicles and passengers involved.
Initial reports estimated that the eastbound lanes of the highway would be closed for about two hours, though the closure lasted much longer than that. The scene was cleared at about 5:15 PM.
