GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, has a brand new estate in New Jersey, but he doesn’t appear to be willing to give up his Wisconsin home.
A source close to quarterback Aaron Rodgers told The New York Post that the quarterback does not currently have any plans to sell his long-term Wisconsin home.
“He has no plans to sell the home at the moment. He still has a lot of his things there and considers the place of sentimental value,” the source said.
The Post reports that since moving to Wisconsin in 2005 to play for the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers has grown emotionally attached to the state. It’s unclear, though, if his choice to hang onto the property has anything to do with any possible future arrangements with the Packers.
Rodgers bought the massive 10,500-square-foot mansion in Oneida back in 2015; the stadium, Lambeau Field, is only a 20-minute drive away. He first paid $1.74 million, which was $400,000 less than the asking price of the stunning four-bedroom, seven-bathroom property situated on 5.32 acres.
