WESTON, WI (WSAU) — A Merrill woman has been arrested on suspicion of her 4th OWI after a routine traffic stop near Target in Weston.
Officers observed a black Hyundai speeding along Schofield Avenue near the Alderson Street intersection early Monday morning. The driver was identified as 29-year-old Marissa Rose Atkinson, and while interacting with her officers noticed signs of impairment.
Atkinson failed a field sobriety test and was immediately arrested. In addition to the speeding citation she also faces a ticket for failing to register her vehicle.
Court records show her previous OWI convictions date back to 2020 and 2021. Action against her on the new charges is pending.
