GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers and quarterback Jordan Love are reportedly expected to engage in contract talks following this season.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Love and the Packers are likely to negotiate during the spring, and it won’t be surprising if Green Bay signs him to a “massive, franchise quarterback-type contract extension.”
Love inked a one-year, $22.5 million contract extension with the Packers before the 2023 season, which will be through the 2024 season.
With his performance this season, the 25-year-old Love more than justified the extension. In the regular season, Love completed 64.2% of his passes for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions and is the first Packers quarterback to lead the franchise to the playoffs in their first season.
