WASHINGTON DC (WSAU) – Throughout President Biden’s term, an estimated 7.3 million migrants have entered the country illegally, according to newly released data.
The amount is higher than the population of 36 U.S. states, including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Missouri, according to a recent analysis by Fox News. The report stated that if the current rate of illegal immigration does not decline in the fiscal year 2024, this year’s total will surpass last year’s record of 2,475,669 encounters at the U.S. border.
The total does not include the “getaways” which the analysis estimated could be as high as 1.8 million individuals over the last three years alone which would bring the overall total of crossings to over 9.1 million.
This report comes after a recent example of what occurs at the U.S southwestern border was documented by Fox News’s Bill Melugin during a segment of Fox News’s “The Story with Maratha McCallum” that showed a large number of migrants scaling down a dangerous mountain side into Jacumba, California.
NEW: We were live as a long line of migrants scaled a huge, steep mountain to cross illegally en masse into Jacumba, CA, an hour east of San Diego. All made it to the ground, and later told me they were from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, & Africa. pic.twitter.com/rAmSWu0tFn

Fox News Digital spoke with Eric Ruark, Director of Research for Numbers USA, about the numbers who stated that they do not seem to be naturally occurring saying, “The (Biden) administration has refused to enforce existing immigration law and taken every opportunity to aid and abet illegal border crossings — through policies such as catch-and-release, mass parole, and offering temporary work permits to tens of thousands of foreigners who make dubious claims for asylum. In actual effect, the United States government is completing the human smuggling and trafficking process for the Mexican cartels.”
The analysis comes after House Republicans voted to impeach DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for allegedly refusing to enforce immigration laws. The articles of impeachment allege that Mayorkas has “refused to comply with federal immigration laws” and violated “public trust.” The Biden administration criticized the vote, calling it “politically motivated” and saying that DHS has never ignored any U.S. laws.
