MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WSAU) — A third-quarter surge lifted the Milwaukee Bucks to a 112-107 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday night at Target Center.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists in the win. Damian Lillard added 21 points and 10 assists.
Malik Beasley and Bobby Portis each scored 14.
Brook Lopez scored 16 on 6/12 shooting, including 4/10 from beyond the three-point arc.
Danilo Gallinari also made his Bucks debut after officially signing a contract for the remainder of the season earlier this week. He recorded one rebound, one steal, and two fouls in just over four minutes of action.
Minnesota dropped into a first-place tie with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference standings. Milwaukee stayed in third place in the East but moved to within a full game of Cleveland for second.
Milwaukee travels to Philadelphia to play the 76ers on Sunday afternoon. Pregame coverage begins at 11:30 AM on WSAU.
