GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – While the Packers continue to comb the free agent market for veteran players that can help in 2024, they are also starting the process of inviting draft prospects to Green Bay for official workouts and interviews.
According to Packers Insider, the Packers will host former Michigan Wolverine offensive lineman Zak Zinter this week for their first official visit.
Zinter is known as a “positional run blocker who flashes the nasty demeanor and killer instinct scouts covet,” according to NFL Draft Buzz. They also note that Zinter plays with good balance when it comes to pass blocking but that he’ll need to fix how often he gets caught dropping his head when blocking, which is considered a bad habit for NFL linemen.
His visit is likely to be the first of many offensive linemen that will be coming to Green Bay over the next few weeks, as Green Bay has also set their sights on former BYU tackle Kingsley Suamataia, Duke tackle Graham Barton, Oregon State tackle Taliese Fuaga and former Wisconsin Badger Tanor Bortolini.
