Wausau, WI (WSAU)– March 19th marked the first day of the Spring Equinox, however, Mother Nature missed the memo.
There is a Winter Storm Warning in effect that started at 1 P.M this afternoon. This warning will go into Monday, where 7 to 11 inches of snow is predicted. The blowing snow can reduce visibility and can make traveling dangerous, especially during the Monday morning commute.
If traveling is a must, be prepared. Stock your vehicle with non-perishable food like granola bars or dry cereal. Pack warm clothes along with a hat and gloves/mittens. Bring a flashlight as well as a phone charger to have on hand in case an emergency arises.
Be sure to check the latest road conditions for the state, and remember to drive slowly!
