MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — Sheriff’s Officers in Price and Lincoln Counties worked together to arrest a 36-year-old Brantwood man accused of physically abusing his wife while she was driving on Sunday.
According to the woman her husband had grabbed her neck and pushed her head down as she was driving, causing her pain. The woman managed to kick him out of the vehicle after the incident, and she kept driving.
The susepct, identified as Jay Jaclbarth, was not immediately located in Lincoln County. Officers in Price County found him later that evening, and he was taken into custody by officers from both departments.
He was jailed in Merrill on suspicion of two counts of recklessly endangering safety and one count of battery. He was released on a $2,500 signature bond on Monday.
Officers add that a four-year-old child was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Further court action against him is pending.
