GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The 2024 NFL draft is only a little more than a week away, and the Green Bay Packers still have a few Top 30 visits to fill this week. They will be taking a look at two possible day-two linebackers.
According to Packers Insider, the Packers are hosting Kentucky linebacker and team captain Trevin Wallace and Western Michigan edge rusher Marshawn Kneeland this week after meeting with other possible prospects such as UCLA edge rusher Gabriel Murphy at the NFL Combine and hosting Kansas edge rusher and projected 3rd-round pick Austin Booker for a top 30 visit earlier this month.
Over 36 games and 19 starts at Kentucky, Wallace, 21, recorded 18 tackles for loss, 10.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, and three interceptions. He also ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds at the NFL Combine. One of the more impressive stats Wallace has is his durability, as he only missed one game for the Wildcats in three seasons with the program.
Meanwhile, Kneeland (6-3, 267) spent four seasons at Western Michigan, playing in 38 games, 23 of which were starts, while recording 13.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, three pass breakups, and 28.0 tackles for loss during that span. He’s expected to be a second-round selection, with the Packers holding both picks at 41 and 58 in that round.
