STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – On Tuesday the Stevens Point Fire Department was forced to act quickly and evacuate due to a carbon monoxide leak.
Chief JB Moody says firefighters were in the middle of training when a firefighter smelled something strange. “We evacuated the building and went ahead an checked for a potential gas leak, which we did find, we did get a company in right way to quickly take care of the leak,” said Moody.
Fire staff is unaware of what caused it. No one was hurt.
