KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – There has been a lot of conflict in the Kronenwetter Village Hall over the past several years including lawsuits, complaints, resignations, and more.
Administrator Leonard Ludi put in his resignation last week and opened one of the highest chairs in Village Hall, which has been open several times over the last two years.
Trustee Alexander Vedvik and others on the board members say that much of the blame is on Trustee Ken Charneski. “We’re limited in what all we can do to stop this but at the same time you know I advocated for the independent ethics commission when I ran, I think the time is now that the board needs to step up and force the code of conduct and stop this for once,” Vedvik said.
Many in Village Hall told WAOW-TV the ongoing conflict has had a massive impact on all that work there, but Trustee Charneski says he hasn’t heard anything about it. Charneski said in a written statement, “None of the office staff have said anything to me about it, and whatever brief interactions I have had with them seem cordial.” He continued, “The negative, dishonest politics of the past two years in Kronenwetter has gone out of control. This ongoing personal animosity seems to be the main cause of Kronenwetter’s bad reputation.”
The board has an upcoming meeting on Monday night at 6pm at the Kronenwetter Village Hall.
