MIAMI, FLA (WSAU) — The Miami Marlins scored a run in the first inning and made it stand up as they beat the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 on Thursday night.
Marlins starter Jesus Luzardo went eight innings giving up just three hits with four Ks and no walks. Jazz Chisholm hit a lead off homer for the game’s only run.
The Brewers wasted an excellent effort from Freddy Peralta who gave up just the one run in seven innings with four hits and seven Ks.
The Brewers, now 28-21, have Thursday off before starting a weekend series Friday night in Boston.
