GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers got an update on the injury front on Monday after tight end Tucker Kraft suffered a pectoral injury that could keep him out for the start of training camp.
In an interview with Packers Central’s Bill Huber, Kraft confirmed that, like head coach Matt LaFleur, his injury happened during a routine lifting session, saying, “Just a regular lift. It was my last rep of the day on the bench. Nothing crazy, not heavyweight. We were speed-benching, and it just popped right off the bone.”
Kraft wore a sling during OTAs last week and is expected to be immobilized for 4-6 weeks after he underwent surgery due to his tendon rupturing from the bone.
In his first season with the Packers, Kraft, a third-round selection out of South Dakota State in 2023, had 31 catches for 355 yards and two scores.
