PARK FALLS, WI (WSAU) — A Price County man has been formally charged with homicide in the death of his former girlfriend.
Christopher Dyer was charged with one count of intentional homicide on Tuesday for allegedly killing Denise Schwarz. The 57-year-old was shot to death on April 13th.
First responders found her body outside a home on 2nd Avenue in Park Falls. A gun was also recovered from the scene.

The State Department of Justice named Dyer as the suspect in the case nearly two weeks later. Court records show he’s been held in the Price County Jail on a $1 million bond since Monday, April 15th.
Charges were formally filed in late May. An initial appearance followed on Tuesday.
Dyer has yet to enter a plea for the charges. Further court action is scheduled for July 1st.
If found guilty he faces a mandatory life sentence.
