Residents of Kronenwetter will be invited to sound off on a proposed ambulance service change on Wednesday evening.
A public forum will be held at 6:00 PM in the board room at Village Hall where new Administrator Peter Kampfer and Fire Chief Theresa O’Brien will answer questions from residents. Those with questions are encouraged to submit them through the village website.
Following the Q-n-A session, the Village Board is scheduled to vote on the proposal.
The proposed change is being driven by an increase in call volume to Kronenwetter, one of the state’s largest communities by square mileage and the third-largest in Marathon County by population.
The Village’s current contract for services with the Riverside Fire Department ends next year. The new service would be in place by January 1st, 2026.
