MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badgers have landed another key commitment to rebuilding their offensive line in four-star guard Hardy Watts.
According to Badgers247, he announced his decision Monday and chose the Badgers over Clemson and Michigan. When asked what stood out about Wisconsin, Watts stated, “When I was there, I was like, ‘Wow, these are my people.’ The guys in the locker room—they’re me. They are really hard-working, disciplined, and have similar personalities. I felt like I really fit in there.”
Watts was the top overall player in Massachusetts and the 16th-ranked interior offensive lineman in the nation. He also credited new Badgers offensive line coach AJ Blazek in an interview with Badgers247, saying, “He has never lied to me. He just kept it real the entire time. He has been with me since the beginning when he was at Vanderbilt. I love his personality, his passion for coaching, his genuine care for his players, and the development of his players.”
The Badgers have been red-hot over the last month on the recruiting trail, landing 2025 four-star offensive tackle Logan Powell, four-star linebacker Mason Posa, and four-star wide receiver Eugene Hilton Jr. as head coach Luke Fickell looks to build off of what many hope will be a better 2024 season compared to the seven-win season in 2023.
