MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Bucks head coach Doc Rivers gave fans an update on star forward Khris Middleton during Tuesday night’s Summer League broadcast, stating he had surgeries on both ankles this off-season.
According to The Athletics’ Shams Charania, who confirmed Rivers’s comments, Middleton will be ready for the start of the season after playing through the ankle injury during the Bucks playoff series against the Indiana Pacers due to fellow stars Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo already missing time due to injury.
Middleton averaged 15.1 points and 5.3 assists per game in 2023 but played an average of 28.4 minutes per game against the Pacers despite injuries, averaging 18.6 points and five assists per game against the division rival, which included an impressive 42-point performance in Game 4 of the series.
