University of Wisconsin at Madison
MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The University of Wisconsin is expanding its alcohol sales at sporting events.
UW-Madison will sell beer, wine and prepackaged cocktails in general seating areas at home football games starting with the 2024 opener on August 30 against Western Michigan.
The UW Field House, which hosts Badger volleyball and wrestling, will also offer alcohol sales in common areas.
Camp Randall will be the 16th of 18 Big Ten stadiums with alcohol sales in the general seating areas.
Wisconsin began allowing the sale of alcohol in general seating at the Kohl Center and LaBahn Arena in 2023.
