WASHINGTON D.C. (WSAU) Vice President Kamala Harris received an offer from CEO Elon Musk to participate in an interview on X after former President Donald Trump’s conversation with him for two hours was seen by more than 23 million accounts.
In a post published on X on Monday night, Musk said, “Happy to host Kamala on X Spaces too,” as numerous media outlets have continued to draw attention to Harris’s lack of interviews since President Joe Biden withdrew from the race and she was chosen to replace him three weeks ago.
Harris’s campaign account on the platform did not respond to the offer but instead criticized Trump, saying, “Donald Trump’s extremism is dangerous. Project 2025 agenda is a feature, not a glitch, of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight during whatever was on X.com.”
When Trump was asked about Harris, he also used the opportunity to criticize the vice president, saying, “She’s incompetent, and he (Biden) is incompetent. And frankly, I think that she’s more incompetent than he is, and that’s saying something because he’s not too good.”
The interview highlighted many issues happening in the U.S. and around the world, including Trump’s proposal to push for legislation if elected to remove taxes on tips for those who work in the service industry that was recently endorsed by Harris, which led Trump to say they’re trying to copy his campaign, saying, “She’s making a speech to say there will be no tax on tips. I said that months ago.”
Other topics that were discussed included immigration, the assassination attempt on the former president, and how to bring down inflation.
