WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Most of the local primary races were not close on Tuesday.
Rebecca Cooke advanced over Katrina Shankland 50-41% in the District 3 Democratic Congressional primary. Cooke will face Derrick Van Orden in Novemeber.
Kyle Kilbourn beat Else Rae Duranceau 58-42% in District 7 Congressional Democratic primary. He will face Tom Tiffany in November.
In Republican primary races, Calvin Callahan defeated Todd Mayr 85-15% in the District 35 State Assembly. John Spiros easily won his Assembly primary.
In Marathon County incumbents Kim Trueblood (County Clerk) and Connie Beyersdorff (County Treasurer) won their primaries.
