OAKLAND, CA (WSAU) — After pounding the Oakland A’s 11-3 on Friday, the Milwaukee Brewers split the remaining two games in the series. They won Saturday 9-5 before dropping Sunday’s finale 4-3.
Saturday the Brewers scored three runs in the 2nd and three in the 9th which iced the game. Jake Bauers had a two run homer. Garrett Mitchell drove in two runs while Jackson Chourio, Rhys Hoskins, William Contreras and Blake Perkins had a single RBI each. Colin Rea picked up his 12th win of the season.
On Sunday The A’s scored four times in the 5th inning and made it stand up. Gary Sanchez and Willy Adames hit home runs for Milwaukee but it wasn’t enough.
The Brewers are 75-55, and remain 10 games up on the Cardinals in the Central Division. They have Monday off before starting a three game home series with the San Francisco Giants.
