STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — One of the men accused of beating Donald Mitchell in a Stevens Point parking lot has entered a not guilty plea for reckless homicide and theft of movable property.
Brandon Boehm entered the plea on Thursday, making him the last of the three suspects to do so. Investigators say Boehm and two others had been rummaging through Mitchell’s vehicle. When he returned and confronted them, the group turned on him.
Doctors said Mitchell showed several fractured ribs and nearly every bone in his face was broken. He was rushed to a local hospital after the beating and died the next day.
Boehm is facing modifiers that could increase his prison time due to Mitchell’s age. Additionally, he’s being charged as a repeat offender due to previous convictions for retail theft and drug-related offenses.

Boehm returns to court on November 11th for a pre-trial conference.
