GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers aren’t ready to give up on rookie kicker Brayden Narveson following his early season struggles.
According to head coach Matt LaFleur, Narveson has shown enough so far to keep his trust level pretty high, saying, “I like his mentality; I like his talent. There’s going to be some ups and downs. Hopefully, there’s more ups than downs. I do think he’s done a pretty nice job. He needs to make that field goal; he knows; we all know it, but I’m confident if he’s in that situation again, he’ll hit it.”
Brayden Narveson, who is an undrafted rookie out of North Carolina State, has failed to make a kick from 40 to 50 yards in both of his games thus far. On Sunday, against the Indianapolis Colts, he missed one from 45 yards.
Despite his struggles, Narveson is yet to miss an extra point attempt and is currently tied for 6th in the NFL in kicking points with 21.
