DENVER, CO (WSAU) – The Badgers men’s hockey team scored first, but then allowed 6 unanswered goals in a Saturday night road loss to number-1 Denver.
The Badgers drew first blood with Quinn Finley’s goal at 7:31. Denver got the equalizer less than two minutes later. They’d score twice more to build a 3-1 lead at the first intermission. The Pioneers scored twice more late in the second period to put the game out of reach.
Denver improves to 6-0-0 this season. The Badgers are now 1-5-0.

The Badgers women’s hockey team has opened their season with 10-straight wins. They beat Bemidgi State, 6-0.
Five Badgers scored goals, including two from senior Lacey Eden.
