CLEVELAND, OHIO (WSAU) — Another close loss has dropped the Milwaukee Bucks record to 1-6 as they lost 116-114 to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
It was the second straight two point defeat to the Cavs after a loss in Milwaukee on Saturday.
It was a close, tightly fought game throughout but the short-handed Bucks were without Khris Middleton and Giannis in this one and ran out of firepower.
Damian Lillard led the Bucks with 36 points and seven assists. Bobby Portis had a double-double with 21 points and 18 rebounds and AJ Green had 21 points.
Darius Garland had 39 for the Cavs while Jarrett Allen stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, 15 rebounds and six assists.
The Cavaliers remain unbeaten at 8-0 while the Bucks drop to 1-6. Milwaukee will host the Utah Jazz on Thursday.
